Why the washing protocol matters
Post-transplant hair washing is a clinical procedure during the first 14 days — not a cosmetic routine. The purpose: remove scabs gently to prevent scarring; maintain a moist healing environment; reduce infection risk. Done incorrectly, washing dislodges grafts. Done correctly, it actively promotes healing.
The Hairmedico washing protocol — day by day
Day 2 (at clinic): First wash performed by the Hairmedico medical team using diluted LOREW Paris shampoo. Establishes the technique for at-home washing.
Days 3–7 (at home): Dilute one pump LOREW shampoo in a cup of lukewarm water. Pour foam gently over recipient zone — no rubbing, no direct water pressure. Let sit 2 minutes. Rinse with gentle low-pressure lukewarm water. Pat dry — no rubbing.
Days 8–14: As scabs shed naturally, washing becomes progressively more normal.
From Day 15: Normal gentle washing. Avoid aggressive scalp scrubbing until month 1.
What to use — and avoid
Use: LOREW Paris post-transplant shampoo (provided). pH-balanced SLS-free alternatives after Day 15.
Avoid: Sodium lauryl sulphate (SLS) in first 2 weeks. Anti-dandruff shampoos with zinc pyrithione in first 2 weeks. Hot or cold water — use lukewarm. Direct shower pressure on recipient zone before Day 14.

Yes. AI is used for trichoscopy donor density mapping, graft count estimation from photographs, and digital hairline design simulation.
